“People who don't Think probably don't have Brains; rather, they have grey fluff that's blown into their heads by mistake.” Winnie the Pooh

Our family once visited all 50 states, so, I felt I would ace this puzzler.  I am embarrassed to say that my 89% pales next to the smartypants who scored 100%.

I will not stop until there is a beautiful 100% next to my name...

Like my tattered, grey Cape May sweatshirt...

I bring it out and hold it in my hand, smell it, and enjoy its familiarity.  Every once and a while it just works out that I actually read my favorite book while wearing my favorite sweatshirt.

On those days I am the luckiest gal in the world.  Simple pleasures! Only two more details would make this the absolute BEST day ever;  no to-do list sitting somewhere in the house and a nice pitter patter of rain on the roof.

My top ten Favorite Book List will be revealed one "Take Me to Another World" book at a time...

...not fresh, like a box of macaroni and cheese...but as tasty as a box of macaroni and cheese!

I knew I would eventually add this recipe to my blog, however, I wanted to wait until I had just prepared the incredibly easy, taste of Italy and was in the middle of enjoying its saltiness and fieriness.  Pasta Alla Puttanesca, or slut's pasta.

Built in 1843 from Aberdeen granite...

Patience is not one of my strengths and this past week has reminded me of that.  As I read each email giving a different reason for the delay in the owners response to our request for leasing a quaint, urban townhouse just west of the city, I began to think that looking for a home was much more enjoyable than waiting...waiting...did I mention waiting.

...meanwhile we wait for the lease to put in writing their "Yes".

As it stands at this moment we will be living in what I would consider a row house, but others may refer to as a townhouse.  Having been built in 1843, a cobbled street brings you to our soon to be doorstep.

We are most excited about being urban and walking, even if it is in the rain, to the baker, butcher and fishmonger.  More on those discoveries later...

Like the dot of an i...

Because my body still thinks I am in Aberdeen, it wakes me up at 4:00 a.m.  However, this morning I was greeted with the most incredible moon set over Lake Anahuac...

Discovering Scotland

The best way to discover another part of the world is to move there, and that is what my husband and I are in the process of doing.  We are in Aberdeen looking for the perfect place to hang our cowboy hat.  Of course, neither of us owns a cowboy hat but we might buy one just to hang in our home away from home.

Our dilemma is whether or not we want to live in the granite city or out in the breathtaking countryside.  We have been driven by our most gracious relocation specialist, Gill, over every inch of the city and a large area outside of Aberdeen.  My favorite in the country, house...

I know...charming right!  Keith could see my imagination at mach speed when he asked if internet was available and the realtor told us she would check on that.  His next question to her was how the dirt, hilly road was maintained during the snow days and she smiled sweetly as she explained that it was quite easy to find one of the nearby farmers to plow the road if you find you can not leave or arrive.

Needless to say, as we drove away, my mind was filled with what could have been.  Did I mention that the front door was one of those half doors where you can open only the top so that the dog we don't own can not get out or in.  Yes, I could have been very happy for a month in that house.

We have narrowed our search to one house in the west end of the city... with views like this..

which is very near the harbor, therefore the seagull, which remind me of Galveston...

and this view from the guest bedroom...

and one house out in the village of Cults...which is near the pastoral sheep above and walking distance to the BEST french coffee shop/delicatessen Terroir.

Meanwhile...we are in temporary housing which is quite comfy.  Views from our windows...

I have been looking for Mary Poppins...they say she does pop up north every now and again...
